In need of a good valve

Hi all,

We are currently having issues with body-to-bonnet gasket leaks on older manual globe valves (on 1 inch lines or smaller) that are in service on borated, irradiated systems. Is there a good valve design that eliminates this leakage source? Maintenance on these valves is nearly non-existent and the ability to fix this leak depends heavily on system outages. I would rather eliminate or at least go for a seal weld bonnet rather than have an easy to replace/maintain valve that still won't see normal maintenance.

Very interesting test report mk3223. I need to look at what we use.

I have not JustABallValve... I've looked mainly at Flowserve and was a little dissatisfied.

So many options of valves that it is hard to choose one. Velan makes a bonnetless valve, I wonder if that would be good.
