In Reference to the thread Proof stress vs yield stress
I have the same issue"I see “proof stress 0.2% & 0.1%” in a MTR. What’s the relation between them and yield stress? Can I compare them with min Y stress in the Section II and pass the material?"
I read the messages in thread, one of the answer was 0.2% of proof strength is equal to 0.2% of Ys.
I didnt get this in my MTR it says "Rp0.2 (N/mm2) - 254
"Rp1.0 (N/mm2) - 295
The material spec is SA312 TP304L. As per code the min yield strength is 170Mpa(N/mm2). Could anyone help me out please. I couldn't understand this
