Inch annotation in dimensions

Format..styles and standard editor.. Select your dimension type..change to the text tab and near the bottom there is a box for prefix and suffix.. Just enter " in suffix.

Thanks for tip. The only problem I see is that when I specify the " in the suffix, it's a dumb annotation in that if there's already a suffix such as a degree symbol, etc, it will put the inch marks after it anyway. I'm just surprised Inventor doesn't allow you to specify units as inches and show the inch marks.

Nitro is correct. Angular dimensions will also get the " mark with the way I posted.
Seems inventor will allow you to put in the unit string though (in) after the dimension. so you get 3.5in and not 3.5"
See styles and standard editor..dimension type..check box for unit string.

Or do what I do..either forget it or put a note in the drawing stating "All dimensions are in Inches"
