Does any one have a text file that contains the standard thread sizes for inch internal threads? Catia only has metric and this does me no good. If no one has a text file an example of the format to create a text file myself would also work. Any help would be great.

Thanks again

I've been trying to get this for some time.

As soon as someone steps forth with a metric table, I'm going to post it at CATBlog. (and I may even make one, time permitting)

Here's one that I made for myself.

Nominal Pitch Pilot UNF
4.826 0.79375 4.0 10-32 UNF
6.35 0.9071 5.4 1/4-29 UNF
7.9375 1.0583 6.9 5/16-24 UNF
9.525 1.0583 8.4 3/8-24 UNF
11.1125 1.27 9.8 7/16-20 UNF
12.7 1.27 11.4 1/2-20 UNF
14.2875 1.4111 12.8 9/16-18 UNF
19.05 1.5875 17.4 3/4-16 UNF
22.225 1.8143 20.3 7/8-14 UNF

I intend to make public a screw thread file, available to anyone, and without the hassle of having to search through a forum, which may or may not have a good search engine.

Runz - your post was deleted, but you may go to CATBlog, and post it there. I welcome you to become a member. If you don't want to join, I can ensure that it will be posted, you will be credited, and it will be easily found by the world - not lost in a forum.

Thank you.

SOLID7,

I signed up at CATBlog, but have not received an email with my password.

As soon as I receive the email, I will gladly post the thread files that I have.

Thanks,

what am I doing wrong? I copy the above data in a txt file and store it in the standard folder under the installation folder. When I go to thread and select Ansi_UNF it only lists zeros from top to bottom. Am I missing something?

It must be in the form a tab delimited text file.

In Microsoft Word, replace all spaces with the special character for tab, which is ^t.

Save it, and replace it.
