Include command help

Please help..

Why in some cases while in the assembly mode does the include command not allow you to maintain relationships. The option box is not selectable. It works sometimes and then all of a sudden it dont. This has been a problem for me for a very long time and it gets very frusterating when trying to include holes from other details in the assembly. Thanks

The include command won't work with family of assemblies. I hope it's not your case.

Hi Custom,

interpart relationships (the include command makes them) are saved in the highest assembly Solid Edge can save to at the moment you make your interpart relationship.

This means that everytime you want to add a relationship, you will have to open that assembly. It is called the 'in-context assembly'. To find this assembly there are two options:

1- Close down Solid Edge and open the part from windows explorer (double click). Solid Edge will ask whether you want to open the part or he in-context assembly.

2- In Solid Edge try to add an interpart copy. Solid Edge will tell you it is not possible, because the in-context assembly is ...
