Increasing Inlet Temperature of a Centrifugal Compressor

Hi! Good day!

I read from a reference that increasing the suction temperature of a centrifugal compressor would lead to a decrease in its mass capacity. Can someone show me the equation that explains this? How will consequently affect the volume of air delivered by the compressor?

You ought to be able to work this out from first principles.

Physical density is a function of pressure, temperature, and gas composition. Increasing temperature (with the others held constant) lowers density. Since dynamic compressors work on velocity, a given velocity gas at a lower density results in a lowwer mass flow rate.

Thank you.will the mass flow rate change at the discharge of the compressor? How do i relate this to volumetric flow rate at the compressor discharge?
 
According to the Continuity Equation, if there is no addition or removal of fluid, then the mass flow rate at every point in the system is the same, velocity changes, volume flow rate at actual conditions changes, mass flow rate and volume flow rate at standard conditions do not change from suction to discharge of a compressor. If this is confusing, you might want to purchase Chapter O of my book to bone up on gas flows at standard vs. actual conditions.
