Hello all,
After watching several videos, reading the help file and different blog posts, and trying this for 2 days I must admit defeat and ask for help. I am trying to do a simple indent feature with no luck. The part file is attached (SW2011 SP5.0). For your reference, it is a multibody part and "Imported1" is the target body and "Revolve2" is the tool body. I am trying to show hose ends in the received "crimped" format. Let me know what the hell I am missing here, thanks. [pc]

See attached for an idea of what I am trying to achieve with the "Indent function". I would like to have the part with 2 configs (crimped & un-crimped).

Ahh, that's better.

First of all you have the Target Body & Tool Body reversed. The non-crimped part should be the target Body, and a surface (or solid) of the deformed portion of the crimped part should be created & used as the Tool Body. (Imagine wrapping clay on the outside of the crimped part to create the Tool)

You could also start with a flat sheet metal part and use the emboss feature, pattern emboss feature and then use the flex feature (bending) @360° and it will turn out to be a cylinder with a crimped look. Hope that helps. Cheers!
