Industry Common Practices for Interior Acoustics of Buildings.

I was wondering if anybody could set my head straight on a few things.

When an acoustic consultant is tasked with checking if the design of anything acoustic is adequate for the need, how is it normally done?

Is CadnaR used often? Or is hand calculations more common? For HVAC Noise are there programs that are normally used, or are hand calculations also conducted?

Personally I'd sit down with a copy of Beranek, that was enough for designing semi anechoic chambers.

Are you looking to purchase the CadnaR software or hire a consultant who uses it?

The tools (CadnaR, spreadsheet, or hand calc.) provide the data, but the expertise of the Acoustical Consultant provides the answer!
