I am developing a wastewater treatment plant for an industrial location and it's clarifiers and centrifuges, among other equipment, are being replaced (to increase their capacity).

Does anyone know if there is any industry standard or specification for these types of equipment?

Additionally, I'm familar with Alfa Laval for centrifuges and Westech for clarifiers. Does anyone know their competition?

There is no such thing as an industry standard.

Westfalia & Flottweg for centrifuges.

US Filter, Graver, Infilco for clarifiers. Depends somewhat on the application.

We are currently investigating centrifuges for sludge dewatering in our pulpmills wastewater secondary/primary treatment. We have come to the conclusion that there are many light duty decanting centrifuges and possibly 2 heavier duty suppliers. Alfa Laval and Andritz. These are the two we are currently comparing. There may be more but we are satisified that both these companies meet our needs.

Furthermore we have had pretty good success with our GL&V clarifiers so you might try them.
