Infinite Elements at the boundaries

Hello everyone,

I am modeling a geotechnical problem using ABAQUS, and I have a problem using infinite elements in my model. I am modeling a single pile embedded in a single-layered soil and subjected to a lateral harmonic loading at the head of the pile. I use infinite elements (CIN3D8) at the boundaries to act as quiet boundaries. I reset the displacements after applying the geostatic stress and the weight of the pile ( by importing the induced stresses as initial stress in a new model in which the dynamic step is defined). When the dynamic step starts, from the first time interval, the infinite section have an upward displacement. It is unreasonable because the infinite elements are expected to not be affected by the applied load at the pile head as they are simulating the far field. For differentiating the finite and infinite sections, I partitioned a same part and assigned different element types to the two partitions.

I would appreciate any help in figuring out the problem with my model.
