Insert a "Smart Point" in NX 6

Is a Smart Point the same thing as an Associative Point? We only see it (the button) avaliable in the Motion Application. The problem is that we are trying to create an array in the Multiport -> Create Terminals -> Create array workflow in the Electrical Routing application and it is asking for a smart point. How do you create a smart point?
