Can I insert several objects at once ?

I mean, if I've a block that's a square, can I insert more blocks with only one command ?

What I want to do is something like Insert/Table from word for windows. Is it possible ?

thanks in advance

Hi there. I think you can do this fairly easily - if I understand your question. Do you want to draw a table in AutoCAD without actually drawing the entire thing out one line at a time? If so this is what you can do (using AutoCAD 2002)

Go into Excel and select the number of rows and columns you would like in your table - make the lines on those columns dark as if you were trying to make them print out. Highlight those lines and copy them.

Go into AutoCAD and go to Edit | Paste Special. When the box comes up select the option %Product Entities and then slect the point to insert the table. You may have to stretch them to what you want but it cuts out a lot of the time - also I am almost certain this will import text if you were to fill out the excel sheet and then bring it in.

Hope this helps - if it's not what you were looking for let me know (and sorry)...

If you want to insert multiple blocks in one go, you can do it with the DIVIDE command.
Hmm, lemme remember how you do it... :)

From memory, draw an entity along the line or curve where you want the blocks to go, (try it and you'll see what I mean)
Type DIVIDE and choose the entity you've drawn.
Enter how many blocks you want to insert
I THINK you type BLOCK then, and you're done.

I might have got the order slightly wrong, but you can work it out from there.....
