Instantaneous center of rotation - CISC

Hey all,

I am just wondering if anyone on here has found a spreadsheet or python program (or other freeware) that does the instantaneous center of rotation method but for the tables shown in the CSA handbook. There is a spreadsheet on steeltools by Redempto Legaspi, Jr. here that does it for AISC with VBA, but I am not versed well enough with VBA to go on and modify it to CSA (it has a very nice GUI using a bunch of functions I'm just not familiar with).

Among other things, I just want my inputs in mm and outputs in kN (kN/mm for weld strength) instead of dealing with a bunch of conversions.

I can convert the C value calculated by multiplying out the like units and removing the D in terms of 16ths to go from AISC values to CSA tabulated values, but I want to avoid the extra step of writing that down on a different sheet, and instead have it all done up front.

As far as I am aware, the methods are the exact same as far as detemining force in weld, and from AISC to CISC the LRFD equation is the same as the LSD equation (the equation product of the equation coefficients is the same).

As an aside, the spreadsheet from Alex Tomanovich WELDGRP has the CSA tables included (but for a much older version, under E48XX electrodes and uses interpolation only) in case that was someones first thought to suggest.

Is the method the same for bolts as it is for welds? The first link you sent appears to be working with a bolt example, and the article is also for bolts.
