Instrumentation maintenance standards, procedures etc.

I will need soon to write start-up, maintenance, calibration and inspection procedure for a new petro-chemical instrumentation departement.

Any electronic literature or web sites will be welcome.

get the loop gospel together asap then take the manufacturers recomendations and collate them. I think you have a big job ahead of you.

But while sites and software packages will give you an outline QS9000 ISO 9000 and probably most of the other systems will ask you to justify and review your frequency. To do this you will have to refer to the listing of your instruments and the manufacturers recommendatrions.

Warning - anything extra you put in at this stage will come back and bite you on the **se. If you don't need it in your system don't put it in. seperate one offs (eg loop intergrity checks for commissioning) from your maintenance systems. Once it's in you re stuck with it.

Ok that probably hasn't helped you directly but I haven't found a site on the web etc to set up a system so if you have any joy please post the info
