Hi Everybody,

I am working on fuel oil storage tank which operates at 3.5 barg and pumps fuel oil to the package boiler with a capacity of 70 t/hr. There are four types of fuel oil coming from existing unit and i am showing flow control valve and ESD upstream of flow control valve. The logic is to control the flowrate during normal operation using the FV and to shutdown the fuel oil supply at High High Liquid Level of storage tank. Currently the configuration on P&ID is shown as LIT sending signal to ESD. Can anyone help me to figure out how the control logic should be set up based on general instrumentation specified by PIP.

Thanks in advance

Pump should trip via high level trip logic. An inlet SDV on the FO drum may also be required for cases where some feedstream FO stagnation pressure may be higher than the min FO drum pressure.
