Hello All,

Does integral trunnion ball valve design complies with API 6D 25th edition?
As i understand, there is no specific clause anywhere is the standard stating that the design should be integral or with separate trunnion?
However, there is a pictorial representation in the standard which shows separate trunnion design.
The valve we have purchased is with integral design and customer states that this does not comply with API 6D 25th edition highlighting the pictorial representation in the standard.

Appreciate if anyone can throw some light on this topic.

To save us the bother can you please post the relevant pictorial representation.

Yes, integral or not is left to the manufacturer, larger 6D valves are often integral trunnion design, see Grove B5 e.g.

Highlight for your client the explicit statement in 6D that the figures shown are for illustration purposes only.
