Hi,
Do you have any reference about the function Abaqus uses for boundary response interpolation in the submodeling technique? I checked the documentation, it doesn't mention the type. Is it only a simple linear interpolation or does Abaqus use the element shape function for interpolation?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Indeed, the details regarding theory behind submodeling in Abaqus aren’t shared. I would check the literature or resources related to other software that offers this technique. The source code of CalculiX (open-source counterpart to Abaqus) might be a good start.

Thanks for your reply and your suggestion. Actually, I have already read literature about submodeling but I am using Abaqus for my modeling. So I need more details about the way Abaqus does it.
