Hi all,
Does anybody know if there's any possibility to configure Pro/Intralink 3.x, in such way that it will not check-in objects with same name?
It's better to show on example:
I have parts, assemblies and drawings named 1234.prt, 1235.prt, 1236.asm, 1234.drw, 1235.drw and 1236.drw in Commonspace. I create new part and name it 1235.prt by mistake If I have checked this part into commonspace, I would have one code 1235 for assembly and for part.
I know, that I could change the name later but I would like to be informed by Intralink that there something wrong in name.
Any ideas?

No, because PTC allows the same file name to exist in their code so that a .prt and a .drw can have the same base number. This same code is what allows you to create a .asm, .mfg, etc file for the same base number.

Yes, i agree with you that there should be an additional check, on .prt and .asm files only, that would prevent a .prt being created when a .asm exists for a base number and vis-a-versa.
