Introduction of SSO to BNR process.

Hi,

Exiting BNR WWTP has design capacity 14,000m3/d ADF. At plant we do see total daily flow 12000m3/day. There is no future potential to increase the flow which lead to increase the loading.

Currently, the town collect around 2000 ton SSO (food waste). I am looking for the idea for how to introduce process SSO to BNR plant.

Currently, all SSO go to landfill. we would like to work out the options to do diversion of SSO. We have approached DE packaging equipment which has potential to separate organic material from SSO by removing cans, plastic, fork....

please share your idea or experience on topic.

Wastewater treatment is an expensive process. Adding SSO to the process will not be economical.

SSO is solid waste and something that can be composted. Do you have a composting facility onsite?

If not, suggest you pass on this idea.

Thank you for reply, we have alkaline stabilization process where we mix the LKD and CKD(by product of cement plant). in past, SSO processed to this process, in result, final product was compromised.

not having larger enough quantity of SSO, digestion would not be feasible. I read for the article that processing SSO through plant would be bit more challenging an don't feasible.

Currently we are dumping SSO in landfill and it is not the option.

You best option is to compost it.
