Invalid Annotation Specified in Entry Field

I have a design with drafting that I inherited. The drafting does not show up, but shows small box with X in it. Linear dimensions I can change font and read the information. However, for notes, if I try to simply add a note, where it says add text, when I begin typing text, the error message in the subject line appears.

Any help with these issues?

Check if the correct reference set is chosen. Layers are correctly set in view?

Hello Brent,

When you add note to drawing, check if there is any default text written in Text input section of note command. Delete the existing text and add your text.

Sometimes this error occurs when user add customized symbol in drawing.
