I manage a small real estate business on the side and sometimes need to send invoices. I've been using BolderInvoice.com, but it currently lacks a recurring invoicing feature. Any of you have a similar setup and some advice?

Hey Nils, were you able to find a software that suits your needs?

Have you tried any of the following: FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Zoho Invoice?
if so why didn't they work for you? is there specific features that you need?

looking forward to your response.

I use quickbooks. I don't send recurring invoices but I believe it can do that. Overall, despite the annoying popups (advertising additional paid features), it works well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've checked out the sites you've recommended but they all seem to charge a monthly fee, even for the smallest packages. Bolder doesnt charge anything, so I have stuck with that for now. Hopefully they will come up with a recurring feature soon so I don't have to make the same invoices every month.

If all you want is invoicing without costs then what you have seems the best.

I personally use Xero, which has quickly has become the market leader in Australia and is likely still a good option in overseas markets. It is a cost I don't like paying. Just like paying my accountants; I've never engaged an accountant prior to starting my own business. However sometimes it just makes sense to bite the bullet and pay for the service. Time is money and that is even more evident when you are running your own business. It is often best just to pay up for services that save you time.

I have found the Xero system extremely easy to use and because it tracks and records everything there is no extra work required when you need to meet your business obligations regarding taxes etc.
