Hi,

I am looking for an irregular shapped rubber grommet for assembling a wire harness into a vehicle cabin wall. All I have found online are the "donut" style grommets where the only real function of the grommet is the prevent wire wear from scraping against the sharp edge of the metal hole. My design needs to do that, but it should also have a taper feature to try and weatherproof the cabin. A step grommet would work, but I cannot find one with the right dimensions.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I should start searching? Are there any companies who are grommet specialists? Or, has anyone had any experience working with a dependable and reasonably priced custom grommet manufacturer?

Thanks in advance,

Try searching for a "cable gland". Most of the ones I have seen involve threaded components on each side but you may be able to find one that is as easy to install as a grommet if that is an issue for you.
