Is it permissible according to ASME Section VIII Division 1 for a single shell to be fabricated by rolling two pieces of plate, thereby incorporating two longitudinal joints (Category A)?

I don't think there are any limitations at all on the number of individual segments that can be used to fabricate a cylinder or a head in ASME Section VIII.
