Long time reader, first posting!
Anyone know if it's possible to create line bodies to import from Solidworks '07 to Workbench 11?
I want to add beam elements to an already large multiple part assembly.
(The ultimate solution would be to get the WB modeler, but I only have access to the Solidworks WB interface.)
Would I have to...
1. import my Solid/Surface bodies from Solidworks to Workbench
2. export files from Workbench to Classical
3. create keypoint, lines, beam elements, etc. in Classical
4. run analysis in Classical
5. import results into Workbench (optional)
???
Is this export/import non-sense possible?
I realize i left out the details of my actual analysis, i'm more concerned about the geometry import restrictions/limitations.
