Is there anything like a Text Box in MS Project? 1

Is there anything like a Text Box in MS Project similar to that in Excel?
That would come in handy to include informal notes withing the task pages.

The task informattion dialog box (double click task), has a tab for notes. Why not use that?

You can however insert a text box (under drawing tollbar) within the gant chart area

I'm able to place a text box only in the chart area (on the right) but not in the task area. Is that standard?

If you want to have text/notes in the task area, add a column and choose 'Notes' as the data type.
