Is there something better than strut channel??

I'm looking for something a little sturdier than strut channel yet still pretty cheap.

Basicaly, I need an easy and convenient adjustable rail system to attach different large pieces of equipment to (180 lb peices). Strut channel would be perfect except its kind of weak.

8084 might be good, but is pretty expensive. I've also considered some heavy duty strut channel made from 10 gauge steel (instead of 12 or 14).

All sorts of extruded aluminum systems with T-slots. Bosch, 20/20 are the two names that I can remember, but there are others.

There is deep strut channel, 2-7/16" and 3-1/4" deep. There is also back to back strut or you can double up the strut yourself.

Can you close off the section and make it a box beam? Bolt through?

Some rack manufacturers use steel structural shapes - 4" and 5" channels for instance. You benefit from the higher yield strength and the structural shape. They have zillions of holes for rack positioning like the rolled shapes. Frazier (NJ) is one. I think they are at
