Is there such a sprinkler

I am wondering if anyone has come accross a sidewall sprinkler with a narrow width but a very long throw. Such as could be utilized in a coridor. Kind of similar to the Reliable DH56 and 80 concept but with the emphasis on the long lenght throw rather than the width. I know there are plenty of long throw Sidewalls on the market but they typical have a 'fairly' wide width (typically 16'). I'm wondering if there is a sprinkler that has the narrower width throw thereby reducing the required flow and pressure.

At the moment I trying figure out my options. I have a nasty retrofit (hospital) that I'm going out to survey next week. It has some long corridors. Was wondering if when doing the survey if I find it’s going to be easier to put a Horizontal sidewall sprinkler at the end of the corridor rather than on the side (and trying to avoid ceiling sprinklers altogether), what options I would have.
I was thinking there might be something like the Reliable DH56 (but swapping the width and length). Maybe a 8’x22’ or 24’ (with the low flows corresponding to the narrow throw). Maybe I’m dreaming or maybe it’s in the works.

The only sprinkler head that comes to mind is the special application "Attic" sprinklers, but they are not designed and I am fairly sure they are not approved for the application you outlined above.

I am just thinking outside of the box!!

Cidona:

No such thing exists. Your wanting the water droplets to behave in a manner that fits your design scenario. That's not the intent of NFPA 13 nor fire protection design.

Unfortunately, you may be forced to open up the center of the corridors and use conventional sprinklers. If you use sidewalls, you cannot change their spacing based on your corridor geometry.

Please do not take my response as harsh. It's just the reality.

Just thought some one might have come up with it since Reliable had the DH56 for the wide spray in corridors.
I guess I'm either getting the DH56s along the wall of the coridor or doing lots of opening up ceilings. There are radiant heat ceiling tiles so..
Stookey. Response certainly not taken as harsh. I wasn't looking to change their spacing, but try find one that had that spacing. Looks like it ain't gonna happen.

Just seemed that since they have sidewalls that can spray 26' throw (but you're stuck with 16' wide) and since they have sprinklers that deal with corridor type scenerios (that have super wide throw but short) that they might also have had the long throw, narrow width sprinkler. Some day one of these will be produced and my life will be complete

Just to try another dream here; has anyone come accross a extended coverage HSW for ordinary hazard (either QR or Standard response) other than the Tyco SW20/SW24? Trying to find something inbetween the 10'x10' (10gpm) spacing of standard spray and the 20'x16' (32gpm) spacing SW20.

Please don't think I'm being lazy here, I don't think these are produced either. I have done a good run through Reliable, Viking and Tyco and have no luck. Just figured I try in case someone came accross one somewhere along the line.

OK, so I'm a complete dumbass. The SW20 can be calc'd for lower coverage area.
Would still be nice if there was something inbetween so you wouldn't have such a large coverage area to be avoiding with surrounding sprinkler locations.
