Is this oil able to flow?

I had charatered the oil by using hysys. The result shows at 40C which is the temperature I was told the crude will be trucked in, the viscosity of the oil is about 2100cp. Does anyone has the experience on handling such high viscosity oil? Is this oil capable to flowing at this temperature? What would be the criteria to sizing the offloading line? With less than 1 psi/100ft pressure drop, the fluid velocity is about 0.6 ft/S. Is this resonable?

I will be really appricated any thoughts on this!

It'll probably be laminar flow, but it'll flow. Our products straddle that viscosity, some higher and some lower, and we pump them all over the place.

Is the 2100 cP a calculated or measured value? HYSYS (and others) are not very accurate with regards to viscosity.

Consider using a progressive cavity pump for pumping. This type of pump will pump (almost) anything.

The viscosity was calculated based on the lab data which has three temperature points. So should be close enough for using it to sizing the line.

Do you mean you have boiling point data at three temperature points or viscosity data at three temperature points?
