ISO10683 flake zinc family

Hello all,

I do not have access to this standard. But Zintec, Dacromet, Riwdac, Geomet, Delta-Tone 9000, Delta Protect etc. belongs to the "family" of flake zinc.
Can anyone tell, that if I am ordering Geomet coated screw it has the same properties as screw which is described only as "flZn"?
Or these names are only brands from different manufacturers?

I am a little bit confused because I ordered some Geomet screws, but I received few boxes described as "flZn".
Is it 100% equivalent?

Not so sure about that because Dacromet has chrome, Geomet does not...

additional explanation:

The goal was to put a coating on 12.9 steel screw. I had some experience with wrong applied flZn on the screw, which "ate" 25% too much of screw's thread height (this was visible under microscope)- as a result threaded aluminium blocks had destroyed thread while applying a torque to this screw.

There are so many varieties of Geomet coatings, and ISO 10683 has several classifications, so you cannot assume same properties with only flZn designation. There can be substantial differences among Zintec, Geomet, Delta, etc.

When you say you "ordered some Geomet screws", what did you say exactly?

I meant "screws with Geomet coating"

I meant did you create a purchase order that stated your requirements explicitly. Something like "coat screws with Geomet 321 + Plus topcoat. Total coating thickness to be 10 micrometers thick."
