I would like to use the verification problem named “Fully coupled thermal-electrochemical procedures” from Abaqus documentation to study the thermal-electrochemical behavior of a lithium ion battery using Abaqus 2022. However, the input files provided with the verification problem are not working.

I copied all of the input and user subroutine files into the Abaqus work directory, and submitted the job using the input file of “ecker-full-input_1C_charge_swell_pore.inp” and the fortran file of “ecker-uamp-charge.f”, but the analysis did not start and the following error was observed:

“Permeability is specified on 61 elements but the initial void ratio is not defined. Use *initial conditions to the value. The elements are identified in element set ErrElemPermNoInitVoidRatio.

Unidentified or invalid output request csurfavg”

I also encountered the error of “Unidentified or invalid output request csurfavg”, once I submitted the jobs using the input files of “ecker-main-input_1C_charge.inp”, and “ecker-main-input_1C_charge_swell.inp”.

I also removed the output csurfavg from the input file and resubmitted the job, but I encountered the error of "ABAQUS/standard rank 0 encountered a segmentation fault".

I was wondering if you could please help me to solve this issue.
Thank you

Have you run any analyses with subroutines yet ? It’s not that simple, you have to configure a compiler first.
