The background is that we are a valve manufacturer. We receive 3.1 certs for all of the metal pressure containing parts; bar stock, forgings, castings.
I produce a 3.1 certificate that notes the heat numbers of the materials used and includes copies of the supplier's MTRs for these materials. The cert also describes the pressure testing that was done as per API 598 & BS EN 12266-1.
Someone has proposed that we take all of the various and varied MTRs that we receive from our suppliers and make them into a uniform company format, (using a currently unspecified method), with our company header replacing the supplier's. (I'm assuming that the original MTRs would be on file.)
My question is whether it is permissible for us to do this? Thank you.
