I am looking for a relay brochure for an old ITE/BBC relay type 40 (loss-of-excitation) Circuit Shield device. We are having nuisance trips on three of these devices on a remote generating site and need some information to confirm the CT polarities, setting ranges, test procedures, etc.

Any information or ideally a pdf file of the instruction booklet would be most appreciated.

Thank you

Have you tried contacting ABB? They inherited these relays when ASEA merged Brown-Boveri, I think.

dpc is correct: ABB = Asea Brown Boveri

Not sure if it is the same relay, but check:

Ralph,

I'm impressed you could track this down on ABB's website - I generally refuse to use the ABB website unless I'm absolutely desparate. It has to be the worst website of any major company I have ever tried to use.
