I am looking for a simple safe and legal way to use Venturi type Ejector (Jet Pumps)with steam (150#) and water to produce hot pressurized water in Canada.

The system appear to work fine, the issue is that those device don't come with a CRN number and most provincial juridiction call it a pressure fitting type H and request a CRN (Canada Registration Number).

I am curious if any member found a CRN approved similar device or found a legal and safe way go around the CRN requirement, without having to encapsulate the injector inside a registered pressure vessel.

Thanks

Can you arrange the system such that you cannot subject the ejector to full steam pressure, like it would be if it were on the end of an open vent or drain? If there were only isolation valves on the inlet connections for the steam & cold water, with no valve on the mixed-flow outlet line, would that get the ejector itself out from under the CRN requirements? I think it should.
