Jmatpro vs Thermocalc 2

Just wondering if anyone could tell me some of the pros and cons of Jmatpro and Thermocalc for developing CCT and TTT diagrams. If anyone is using Jmatpro, what advantages have you seen in using this software to developing new steel grades. Can anyone give any examples on how Jmatpro has helped to improve their processing?

Hi Jason

I have used both for low alloy steels (OCTG applications), I prefer JMatPro, it more user friendly, there's another software that I like even more because it prepares the CCT/TTT and it also has options for simulation of shapes and quenching media, it's called QTSteel developed by ITA, I have worked with some of the developers and I also gave them some data for validation. not sure if the forum rules allow me to promote the companies but feel free to send a message if you need more info

Thermocalc Software is a powerful thermodynamics software, but it makes computation at equilium , who can you expect to use it to predict CCT & TTT diagrams ?
