Respected ABAQUS Users, I have running the FEM model as attached cae file in which the job is terminated just after 0.7s while the time period is set to 1s and aslo changed to 7s in both cases the job terminates at 0.7s and not running completely. What should be done to solve the problem?

Thanks for cooperation

Are you sure there are no error messages anywhere in the Job Monitor or in the log files ? There should be something like "Too many attempts made for this increment", "Too many increments needed to complete the step" or "Time increment required is less than the minimum specified".

What about warning messages ? Are there any in the .dat and .msg files ? For example, "The strain increment has exceeded fifty times the steain to cause first yield at x points".

Your stress-strain response is nearly linear but you have defined it by specifying every point in *Plastic. The .msg file obviously indicates a lot of yielding. (review with https://msgfile.info)

This will never solve efficiently. I'm not sure what you're trying to simulate but you should consider a much simpler material model, like linear *Elastic.

Edit: It was painful to watch but your unmodified job eventually completed in Abaqus 2024. I guess 10 years of software improvements (relative to 6.14) might be worth something!
