Hi All,
a shaft is driven by a motor, it is supported in two places by ball bearings and connected in third place by a motor.
how can I use this example in Ansys WB?
1. variant : two places, where the bearing is mounted, as revolute (joint) and the third place as fixed joint.
2. variant : reverse to 1. variant

Thank you

Model bearings like hinge, shaft end BC depends on type of coupling between shaft and motor. What problem do you modeling, static or dynamic?

Thank you very much for your Answer.
I modelled the problem as static.

Fix transverse at all bearing position and axial translation and rotation only at one bearing, no mater where. Constraints on motor end depend on coupling type between shaft and motor.

When you say "Fix transverse" do you mean to fix the displacement in 2 direction (the non axial two)?

Assume, that Z axis is shaft axis. Then you constrain TX and TY on borh bearings and TZ and RZ at one bearing.

Thank you very much I will try this variant.
