Select 1 or multiple parts for editing.

Does this exist?

When doing this I sometimes forget to switch the "Apply To" feild from "Component" to "Part"
That's the step I would like to remove.
When you forget to do that it can create a lot of confusion later... "The change was done, why is this not showing up in the parts list?"

In NX 11 I think it's default set to part, I must check. I use journals to edit all parts in assembly, according to my needs like position number, part name, order number etc.
If You have Mold wizard license You can use BOM (Bill of materials) table and edit attributes by them. This functionality works better since NX 10. Maybe NX 9, I'm not sure, because We skip this version, because it not finished version, if You have possibility - move to NX 10 or better 12. I observed, that every second NX version is stable. Earlier You can access it after placing Part list in assembly's drawing. I don't know if this function works in other licenses.

Thanks for the response Micheal.

I need to update my signature because I'm running version 11.
11 Doesn't default to part tho... it is Component.

Tooling Licenses are so expensive, I really just want to be able to use Bulk Edit if I can.
But some of my reporting attributes are composites... meaning they are reporting a combination of two or more contributing attributes. Those contributing are pushed down into the expression system. They get married into one there and pushed back up into the reporting attribute.

That's a must if sorting dimensions is required in your parts lists.

When You choose "apply" it won't remember it? I'm sure I have set it to "part" in work. What have make me mad in NX 11 is every time I click expressions, I have all of them, but I only want "named". Right now, I don't have possibility to move to 12, maybe in the near future. Try my solution with part list in drafting, and then edit it from BOM? BOM is good to edit one variable by time.
If You are using combination of many attributes, I don't know if any journal can solve it. Please provide some complicated example, it can contain fictional names.
