I recently got a new workstation and did a fresh install of DS 2016 x64 SP1 (Windows 10) - Now key commands no longer work.
"M" used to be move - now it is nothing
"L" used to be line - now it is nothing
"C" used to be circle - etc, etc
This is causing a serious slowdown in my work - any suggestions are appreciated!
Edit: From what I can find on the nets it looks like something to do with an "alias"? If anyone can help me out I would appreciate.
Edit #2: Okay - I went to OPTIONS/USER PREFERENCES/ALIASES/IMPORT, traced my way to USER/ETC/ALIASES and imported the XML file "alias" - all the commands show up in the list, however when I hit "Apply" they all disappear!
Edit #3: Found this thread:
Edit #4: I made sure that the "alias" XML file was in the folder and corrected the path under FILE LOCATIONS/INTERFACE/ALIAS FILE LOCATION, but when I go to that folder when making the path the file does not show up. I KNOW it is there - I have the file folder open and I'm literally looking at it sitting there - why won't Draftsight find it??
Edit #5: FIXED - the alias file won't actually show up in the folder from inside Draftsight - just make sure it is there and provide the path to the proper folder - it works
