Hello all. Here's one that I've been looking for for quite sometime but haven't found. Is there a keyboard shortcut that would allow me to rotate a part 90° CW or CCW? Currently I enter Common Views and click on the appropriate arrow to do just this. It doesn't come up often, but it would nice to be able to do this with a left-handed shortcut. This is similar to Ctrl+Shift+Plus and Ctrl+Shift+Minus in Adobe and it would be a great convenience if this was possible in SE. Right now I have Common Views set up as Ctrl+Q to at least save me the mouse trip to the ribbon, but I still have to select the direction of rotation once the command is open. Any thoughts? Using ST3.

Thanks,

Jason

No.
Nearest is
CTRL+L for left
CTRL+R for right
CTRL+T for top
CTRL+B for bottom
CTRL+F for front
CTRL+K for back

You can also use the arrow keys to rotate in 15° increments.
Not sure if you can change the increment though.

Where would we be without sat-nav?

Thanks for the Arrow shortcut, I didn't know about that. Don't forget CTRL+I for Isometric.

I had forgotten about the arrow keys, so thanks for the reminder. As for a direct 90° rotate, I was sort of expecting that there wasn't a shortcut but thought I'd ask anyways.

Just count 6 presses of the arrow key

Or you can change the increment of the arrows keys to 90° in the options.

Pat,

I just looked through the options and didn't find a setting for this. Could you please clarify where exactly this setting resides?

Thanks,

Jason

I don't have Solid Edge available to check it out. I'm pretty sure there is an option but not a 100% sure. I may be mistaken with SolidWorks though because in SW you can change this settings.

Sorry for the confusion.
