Korboggen head is a german nomenclature for head. Another one is Klopper Head.

Klopper Heads are torispherical heads with crown radius equal to OD of the skirt and knuckle radius equal to 10% of OD of the skirt.
Korboggen heads are more close to semi ellipsoidal with crown radius of 80% of skirt OD and knuckle radius of 0.154 x OD.

Considering the above dimensions, these heads can be designed for Section VIII Div 1 using torispherical head formulae.

Thank you everyone for replying,
you guys gave me much more clear picture..

Hello

Klopper and Korboggen heads are used in pressure vessels

Based on their shape and radius, klopper is used in steel tanks and korboggen ends are more commonly used in GRP tanks due to the fact that the stresses (because of the internal pressure) are less in korboggen ends. klopper shapes in plastic are not recommened for pressure vessel tanks
