large Assembly problem ? 4

I have two large sub-assemblies and i want to make main assembly file which contains these 2 sub-assemblies .

so,i opened a new assembly sheet then added a component( the first large sub-assembly) , and when i tried to add the second component
(the second large sub-assembly), NX became so heavy and too difficult to rotate the first component .
is there any way to make any sub assembly looks like one solid part regardless what it contains .(like for example a 3D standard CAD model for a motor on any web site .

i tried to open new assembly sheet using (light weight representation),but when tried to add the second sub Assembly using constraints , i cant choose any surface (selection option did not work = no surface highlighted when i clicked on) .

If you are looking for 3D representation, try using Product outline. You may unload (close) assembly once outline is switched to ON.
Of-course you need to define it prior to use. Assemblies-> Context Control-> Define Product Outline/Show Product Outline.

1. How many unique/occurence components are we talking about?
2. Have you tried to use assembly arrangements?

Create a reference set in each of the sub assemblies, which contains only the components which you are using to add constraints in main assembly.
Then you can assemble the sub assemblies(without loading whole assembly)(you can change the reference set in the add component dialog).
once you add constraints, you can change the reference set of sub assemblies to show all components.

Creating Reference Sets in an Assembly is NOT recommended. The recommended approach to use Arrangements to define Sub-Assemblies with different sets of Components and/or positions.
