Hi everyone,
I have a truss structure connected with two large masses (large compared to the truss), one at each side and i want to rotate the whole structure 60 degrees from the original position, around the CoG. My input is a profile of constant acceleration for 300 sec, then constant velocity for 1800 and last, 300 sec constant decceleration and the Center of Gravity is fixed. Then as output, i want to measure the inertial forces at the two masses (is this possible with MPC Forces output?). I did a transient response analysis of the structure, but the results don't seem valid since the small displacement doesn't seem to be valid for this occasion. Trying to solve the same problem with nonlinear transient analysis though, doesn't take enforced rotation as input. Does anyone have an idea on how i could simulate this and maybe validate my results?
Thank you,
adampar
