It cuts great except when traveling Positive in the Y direction. Changed nozzles, Lens, Air filter, air pressure, speed, focus etc. Any ideas? We just had our tubes redone and new bellows installed also.

Did you get some new mirrors too? There is a special mirror called a phase retarder that keeps the machine cutting nice in both x and y. I think that might be the issue.

We had the same kind of problem so we did a base focus test so we could see if the focus was really changing. We checked the kerf and noticed they were pretty much the same so we checked the head assembly. We found a screw that came loose and jammed the head so the focus would not change. After we put the screw back the issue was gone. This most likely is not the problem but doing a base focus test is a quick way to see if things in the head are working.

yeah the did the optics while they were here also. I'm wondering where the retarder would be located. also i will run the focus program and check

okay after running the focus program the kerf seems to be changing properly

If the beam purge unit is off or has alarmed out your cut will go bad so take off the head and listen for air flow in the bellows. You can also try a second new lens because the lens could just be bad or it may be mounted upside down.

Ok I swapped to one of our old lenses and its working good. Thanks guys
