Can anyone please let me know what is the best way to apply the lateral load to slab due to earth pressure on the slab of a burried box? I had tried to apply 10, 000kN/m via null line over the wall in its local 3 direction but it has no effect on the deflection of the slab.

Did you try drawing a null slab area (on the part of the slab with the lateral load) and adding a pressure instead of a line load?

It sounds like what you did was to put the load on the wall and if the load does not transfer to the slab then it would not affect the slab.

Thanks Lise, actually it works if we uncheck the 2D option from the advance modeling option.
