Lateral Tee vs Equal Tee fittings

Hi,

We are fabricating a heavy hydrocarbon drain piping which comprises of fittings viz. Lateral Tee fittings of ASTM A 234 Grade WP5 specification.
However, vendor has requested for change in fittings as Lateral Tee fittings are unavailable. He has proposed for Equal Tee fittings.

Based on the above request, would like to know if equal Tee fittings are acceptable or not in place of Lateral Tee fittings ?
