Latest and future treands in Fluid Power - Any idea?

Any idea where i can find a recent study or report on:

Lastest and Future trends in Fluid power.


I am trying to compile a small report on the above tpoic.

Any published article , report of reder's view point would be highly appreciated.

Hydraulics & Pneumatics magazine did an article on a similar subject with feedback from the guru's of Fluid Power a few years back. I couldn't find it in the archives but you could check with Alan Hitchcox at the magazine to see if it is available.

I don't know of any exact articles, but I am in fluid power and I would research the shift from Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems to the electromechanical (mechanical actuators driven by step or servo motors) side.

In the Nov/Dec 2004 edition of Hydraulics and Pneumatics, P K Guha wrote an article called Whither Hydraulics?

In the april 2005 edition, Mr Paul Newham wrote an article correcting some of Mr Guha's "wilder Claims".

The articles are in respect to the technological progress of hydraulics over the past 40 years.

Mr Guha had suggested the fluid power industry is using 1960's technology in 2004.
