It possible that you may never get a file BACK to zero as there are sometimes items created which can't be seen or selected. However, you could try File -> Utilities -> Part Cleanup... and turn on very option and hit OK. That might wipe out a few of them.

You may ave some view dependent entities which are only visible when a specific view is the work view.

Another way to see and delete groups empty or not.
In you Part Navigator right click on one of the column headers like name layer etc.
Toggle off timestamp order.
You can now view all items including groups. They normally appear in unused items. You can deklete the groups by highlighting and pressing delete.
Also faceted bodies can stay on a layer even if the original surface/body has been moved to another. Update the faceting or remove it if you don't need it.

If you move all entities of a component to a different layer than the component was originally on, but don't move the "component" itself, it will result in an item count for that layer even if it appears there is nothing there.

Thank very much for kind replies..
Especially Mr.Mark Benson..
the count is due to facet body.. So i just delete it by Mark Benson explained method

Did you find it?

There will be a few top causes, empty groups, faceted bodies, view dependant or orphaned drafting entites and sometimes just hidden (or blanked) geometry. Occasionally a smallish object out at the extents of the model will be difficult to select for deletion until you do a fit and select all. For most of these you'll find part cleanup does the trick, but for faceted bodies manual deletion may be the easiest way. Oh not to forget drawing patterns will occasionaly exist without appearing to when they lose the path to the pattern file.

Under layers look at the information listing; the type and number of entities should all be listed layer by layer This will certainly help you to find the missing entities.

There are a few quirky ones we have come across that we couldn't ordinarily delete at least one of which I discovered via this forum. Like ghosts in the real world they're harmless unless you believe they can do you harm. Ignore them if they have no other adverse symptoms.

Now I have same layer count problem [sad]with another part

As Ewh told, After I moved the all the entities of component to differnet layer, this counts one in layer (as componenet moved), But even after I remove the component from Assy still the layer shows one entity in moved layer.

How to remove this layer count?

Thanks for the help[smile2]

Try running...

File -> Utilities -> Part Cleanup...

... and start with deleting 'Unused Objects' and 'Empty Groups'. Make sure that the Part option is set to all parts.
