I apologize if this question has been asked already:

I am trying to figure out a way to turn certain layers on and off in paper space. For example, in model space I would draw on the following layers, which are on top of each other.

Foundations
Reinforcing
Pilasters
Base plates
Anchor bolts
Steel beams
Steel columns

However, I would like to have different paper spaces plot out the different layers without having to turn off different layers in the model space. I would end up with paper space tabs F1, AB1 and S1 with the following layers turned on for each (other ones that are not show for that layer would be turned off).

F1:
Foundations
Reinforcing
Pilasters

AB1:
Base plates
Anchor bolts

S1:
Steel beams
Steel columns

Is there any way this can be done? Or did I just confuse everyone?

Hi SteelPE,

From paper space, type VPLayer at the command line and follow the bouncing ball...

I think that is what I was looking for.

Thank you TCARPENTER1 that has been driving me crazy for a while.

You can also click one of the icons in the layer pull-down menu to freeze or thaw in the current viewport.
