Hi there!

I would have a question regarding the creation of a composite shell section. I have two layers, one of aluminum, and one of polypropylene.

I am wondering how I can know which layer is on top of the other (see image)? In my case here (I have clicked on the iso view), is the PP always on top (as it is first in the shell section material list)?

Thanks a lot!

You define the plies from the bottom to the top (so the PP ply will be the bottom one in your case). The normal direction of the shell is used as the layup direction.

Thank you FEA way, you're great!

Have a nice day :)
