Hi all,

I am working on creating a PPT to explain customer where PRV can be used in LNG plant. The objective is to focus on every process inside the plant. For example Liquefication, I need a schematic diagram of liquefication process explaining where the PRV can be installed in it. (inlet or outlet) Similarly I need details of all equipments in a LNG plant where PRV can be installed. Especially focusing on critical applications.

Can anyone help me to find the source where I can get all the details of PRV's used in a LNG plant, or a P&ID would do.

Obturator and gguliye please share your ideas

Thankyou.

Hi. I thought I had earlier seen a LNG industry brochure but one of the main SRV manufacturers, but maybe not. All they seem to have is just very brief advice that their products can be used.

What you are looking for is probably with EPC companies only. Best I could find are these 2 sites which between them may give you what you want to present. There are others and some quite complex on the web. If you search for LNG schematic or flowchart etc., you can get a multitude of info.

Hope these help.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

Hari Mech,

I have found University libraries to be pretty helpful when looking for this kind of stuff during postgrad.
I've actually used that exact Statoil PPT The Obturator posted as a reference before.

Try seaching the process + PFD.

Here is something I found with just a base level search;

All I can say is that AG 200 series for gases and 400 series for liquids have been mainly used in lng plants . If u look for high performance snap acting and rapid closing gas valves u may use 80 series from Crosby but I wouldn't recommend 81P for liquid application because it is difficult to test it on plant. But overall we need psvs for the following scenarios;
Fire case
Blocked discharge
Thermal expansion
Control valve failure and etc
So please scrutinize each scenario based on the process and come up with the solution.
Thanks

Obturator,

The link which you shared has a loyout with flow control and actuators mainly. Can you plese help me find out something similar to this with Safety releif valves?

It would be very useful for me if i get details regarding SRV in this same layout or similar.

Thanks in advance.

As I stated earlier, what you are looking for is probably with EPC companies only. If you search for LNG schematic, P&ID or flowchart etc., you can get a multitude of info. Unfortunately that is very time consuming to do.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

Ok Obturator, I have started to extract data relevent to LNG, from my previous projects. As you have said I will contact any EPC companies which we have worked with to get additional data.

Anyway thanks for guiding. I will share it with you personally once this thing gets finished.

Thankyou. Have a nice day.
